Andes Central School's 2nd Grade Class read the story America's White Table. "The white table" originated during the time of the Vietnam War as a symbol for and remembrance to service members held prisoner of war or missing in action. It is a table where no one will ever sit. After reading the story, 2nd grade learned about the four main branches of the military. They also discussed ways to honor veterans. Last week, 2nd grade students wrote thank you letters to veterans, as well.  Thank you 2nd grade teachers Ms. Hemeyer and Miss Dvorak and your students for honoring our Veterans!
