The Andes Central FFA Chapter will be selling glazed and chocolate covered donuts from Dutch Oven Bakery on Wednesday, December 20th starting at 8AM. The donuts will be sold for $2 a piece or $20 a dozen. Orders of a dozen donuts or more should be placed by Friday, December 15th to guarantee delivery on Wednesday. Orders of more than a dozen, must be prepaid to Mr. DeNeui at the school. Andes Central NHS will be hosting a Winter Activity Day & Junior Class Bake Sale on Sunday, December 17th, from 3pm-5pm in the school cafeteria. Bring a winter clothing item, hygiene product, or toy, to enjoy some fun activities to get you in the holiday spirit! NHS will be donating the items brought in to a local family in need & the Junior Class will donate 1/2 of their proceeds from the bake sale. Santa will be in the house for pictures, too!

On December 3 & 4, Riata and Emery, along with their FFA Advisor Mr. DeNeui, were in Rapid City for the 2023 State LDE Competition. Riata competed in Prepared Public Speaking after placing 3rd at the District 4 LDE competition a few weeks ago.
There were over 500 FFA members from across the state that competed at this competition & advocated for agriculture and their abilities, through their respective competitions. Leadership Development Events focus on creating situations for members to demonstrate their abilities in public speaking, decision making, communication and their knowledge of agriculture and the FFA organization.

Andes Central School will dismiss @ 2:40pm tomorrow, November 21st for the Thanksgiving Break. There will be no school Wednesday, November 22nd - Friday, November 24th.

On Monday, Andes Central FFA students participated in the District 4 LDE Competition in Mitchell. Riata competed in Prepared Public Speaking and received 3rd place. She will advance to the State Competition in December. Congrats to Riata and the AC FFA!

Andes Central students traveled by bus to the 96th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana last week. Cole, Abigail, Riata, Emery, and their Advisor Mr. DeNeui, attended sessions, visited with businesses & colleges at the expo, as well as checking out other places during their trip.
