Andes Central P/T Conferences will be held on Thursday, Feb 15th from 4-7pm; Students will dismiss @ 2:40pm. Conferences will continue Friday, Feb 16th from 9am-Noon; There will be no school for students on Friday, Feb 16th & Monday, February 19th.

Andes Central CTE classes attended an Industry Partner Trip to Platte last week to see CTE in action. Students toured Summit Contracting, Synrgy Sign Company, Turnis Farm Service, Meyerink Farm Service, and Trail-Eze. Thank you for inviting Andes Central students to your businesses!

Andes Central 4th grade is currently doing research on the Great Barrier Reef and they are making a portfolio full of different coral reef facts.

After reading The 3 Little Pigs, the Pre-School Class broke into small groups to try and build some houses from straw, sticks, and bricks. They used pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, and play dough. The kids got to play "Big, Bad Wolf" and huff and puff to blow the houses down!
Mrs. Hellenga's first grade class filled up their class punch card. As a reward, they chose to play dodgeball with Mr. Nelson. Everyone had a blast!

Trooper Samantha Pulse with the SD Highway Patrol came to talk with Juniors earlier this week about the Youth Trooper Academy offered this summer. If any students are interested in applying, they can find the application on Mrs. Wilbur's website in the spreadsheet under the "Career Development Events" section.
The 5th grade is participating in the Great Mail Race. As of last week, they have sent a letter of information about Andes Central and the state of South Dakota to all 50 states.
They have enjoyed receiving a postcard or letter from 5th grade classes all over the US.
