
Good Luck to the Andes Central students who will be competing at the Missouri Valley Regional Spelling Bee today at Andes Central School!


AC/DC Thunder Wrestling team competed in Regions on Saturday in Wagner. They boys wrestled hard all day. Luke Dangel finished his season with 6th place! Congratulations Thunder on a great season!



Reminder: On Tuesday, February 25th, Andes Central Elementary students, (PK-5) will dismiss @ 11:45 am for the day, as we will be hosting the Missouri Valley Regional Spelling Bee. Buses will be running at this time for Elementary students only. MS/HS students will have their regular scheduled classes and will be dismissed @ 3:35pm. Buses will run at the end of the day for MS/HS students.

Andes Central students who were to compete at the Instrumental Contest in Gregory earlier this week will now have their contest on Monday, February 24th @ 8:30am in the Library @ Andes Central School. Families are welcome to attend.

Students in Mrs. Kitchenmaster's kindergarten class played Addition Crossout. They practiced addition by rolling their favorite "dice in dice" to get the sum. The person to cross out the last number was the winner!

Mr. Sheppard's 9th Grade Language Arts students presented a ten-step process to the class, explaining how to do a specific skill or task. Students excelled in this opportunity to teach their peers while developing notes for an upcoming expository essay assignment.

After learning about the revival of art and learning during the Renaissance and Reformation periods, students in Ms. Keizer's World History class tried their hand at creating trading cards of famous artists, writers, and architects from that era.



Andes Central will be celebrating FFA week February 17th - 21st with dress up days, teacher appreciation breakfast, and Ag Olympics at the end of week!


Three students represented Andes Central at the Regional Vocal Contest held in Kimball on February 5th. Emery performed “Greensleeves” and received a Superior or a I; Madilyn performed “A Poor Wayfaring Stranger” and received a Superior or a I; Taylor performed “The Water is Wide” and received an Excellent or a II.
The judges for the event were the vocal professors from Dakota Wesleyan University and Augustana University. They had very impressive and important feedback to help with leadership and performance.
